Atlanta, GA - February 9th, 2004 - Muhsin Muhammad, wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers, ran an 85-yard play to score and made history during Superbowl XXXVIII on February 1st in Houston, Texas. Muhammad was recognized for his record-setting achievement, the longest play from scrimmage in Superbowl history. The NFL veteran also graced the cover of the pre-Superbowl issue of Sports Illustrated.
During a post game press conference, Muhammad expressed his thoughts about the game and his achievement, "Those are the games you live for, the opportunity to have a two-minute drive at the end of the game and catch a game-winning touchdown. As the game was swaying back-and-forth, I was saying to myself, 'Okay, we're not going to run the ball. This is going to turn out to be a shoot-out.' Then they made the play at the end. All the fans out there, if you weren't a Patriots fan or a Panthers fan, you still got a great game. I thought that both teams played their hearts out, and it took the last play to win it."

Muhsin Muhammad has proudly worn the #87 jersey for the Carolina Panthers since 1996. The Michigan State graduate and former Pro-Bowler dedicates his time to both the team and the community of Charlotte, NC. He oversees a variety of charity programs including his M2 Foundation for Kids, which provides educational and developmental assistance for young people, and serves as the local spokesperson for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). His philanthropic efforts include a Christmas toy drive program at the football stadium in Charlotte and an annual football camp. Despite his prominence in the community and on the football field, Muhammad remains humble and grounded. "My career has been a success," Muhammad said in a recent interview with USA Today. "I'm just an inner-city kid from Lansing, Michigan... I've made some money. I have a great family. That's a pretty good life."
BAYLO ENTERTAINMENT
Muhsin Muhammad is also setting records in the world of entertainment. His entertainment venture, Baylo Entertainment, was founded in 2002 by Muhammad and industry vet Danny Blaq. The company currently includes the Baylo Store (www.baylostore.com,) an extensive online distribution network that provides an outlet for the sale of mixtapes, music releases, apparel and magazines. Several Baylo affiliates were recognized with awards during the recent, highly publicized 8th annual Mixtape Awards in New York City. Baylo is also developing a roster of hip-hop and R&B artists and producers and maintains a presence in the community and modeling circuit with the Baylo Girls, an all-female promotional team.
